Rave Generation

Welcome to the new site for Rave Generation, producer of new music influenced by UK rave, techno and 90’s electronica.  If you like banging 909 drums machines and the sound of the dirty synths with an 8bit edge.  This is the place for you.

Rave Generation first started producing experimental electronica in 1993 using Protracker on the Commodore Amiga.    Things have come a long way since then, gone are the rough 16 bit samples and stolen drum loops of the Amiga, to be replaced with the sophisticated analogue edge of hardware synths and drum machines.  But things have gone full circle too, with the 8 bit “chiptune” sounds of games consoles frequently appearing in the charts, the Bitpop production style is warmly embraced here!

Something is happening

Not sure how far this will go. But there’s a sampler-equipped Amiga back in the studio, and a new library of sounds for ProTracker is being built. I’m starting from nothing again, so this may take a little time.
